JD, : I loved the story about Greg Maddox getting involved and helping him with his repertoire but the stuff is so underwhelming that I think this is his absolute peak. He's literally 1st percentile in Stuff+ (85) I can't get on board with that regardless of how well he's able to locate. Side note: I'm sure people know this but it's worth clarifying, Greg Maddux was not a "soft tosser." He had average to above-average velocity for his era when he first came up. He just had outstanding command and that was always what people focused on. You can't get away with having below-average stuff at any high level when you are multiple standard deviations of stuff below the average.
