Frequently asked questions

Where do these fantasy baseball trade values come from?

Dynasty trade values come from each player's rank on the FanRanked staff dynasty board, the same values that power our trade calculator. Auction dollar values come from real production scored in your chosen categories with standard z-score-over-replacement math.

How are the auction dollar values calculated?

Standard z-score-over-replacement methodology: every player is scored in your chosen categories against the rostered pool for your league size, then value above the replacement level is converted to dollars so the whole league budget is exactly absorbed.

Can I use my own league's categories?

Yes — pick any combination of 15 hitting and 10 pitching categories, set your team count, roster sizes, budget, and hitter/pitcher split, and every dollar value recomputes instantly.

What is the difference between $/162 and $ Earned?

$ Earned is what a player's actual production to date has been worth. $/162 projects his per-game rate over a full season — a player with a higher pace than earnings is a trade target; the reverse is a durability premium.
