Draft hitters. Every home run scores its distance in feet. A home run league where quality counts as much as quantity. You draft a team of hitters and every home run they hit scores its Statcast projected distance: a 450-foot shot is worth 450 points, a 340-foot wall-scraper is worth 340. No lineups to set. The team with the most feet at the end of the season wins.
One hitter and one pitcher a day. Each player once per season. Every game day you pick one hitter and one pitcher. Their stats that day score points for you. The catch: each player can be used only once all October, so every pick is also a sacrifice. Spend the stars early or save them for later? The most points after the World Series wins.
One player per box from playoff rosters. Points multiply by round. A playoff pool with no draft. Before the Wild Card round, pick one player from each box of similar players. Every game your players appear in scores points, and later rounds are worth more. Players whose teams are eliminated stop scoring, so picking teams that go deep is half the game. Most points after the World Series wins.
Draft playoff players. Points or roto. Only October counts. A real fantasy draft for the postseason. The host picks a scoring style (points), everyone drafts from the players on the twelve playoff teams, and every game in October scores. Every rostered player scores. Lineups: every player you drafted counts, and when his team is eliminated he simply stops producing. Later rounds are worth more. Most points after the World Series wins.
