Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and FanRanked ("FanRanked", "we", "our", or "us") governing your use of www.fanranked.com and every feature offered through it, including rankings, the trade calculator, league tools, streaming tools, and FanRanked Pro (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, creating an account, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or purchase a subscription. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

Accounts are created through Google sign-in. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and do not share, sell, or transfer your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. FanRanked Pro Subscriptions

• Billing. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on the plan you choose (monthly or yearly). Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Free trials. New subscribers may receive a free trial. Your card is collected up front and is charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Each customer is eligible for one trial.
• Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal on the Pro page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will take an honest look.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Changes apply at your next renewal, and we will give you reasonable advance notice.

5. League Connections

The Service can connect to fantasy league platforms (such as Yahoo, ESPN, Fantrax, and CBS) with your authorization. When you connect a league:

• You authorize us to access your league information (settings, rosters, standings, and transactions) to power league features. Access credentials are stored encrypted, and you can disconnect a league at any time.
• You are responsible for complying with the terms of the platform you connect, and you represent that you have the right to grant this access.
• League data comes from third-party platforms and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. We do not guarantee its accuracy.

6. For Entertainment Only

Everything on the Service, including rankings, FRV ratings, projections, streaming picks, trade evaluations, playoff odds, and written analysis, is opinion and statistical estimation provided for entertainment and informational purposes. It is not betting, gambling, financial, or professional advice. Projections are probabilistic and will often be wrong about individual players and individual days. Any decision you make in a fantasy league, a contest, or anywhere else is your own, and we are not responsible for its outcome.

7. Our Content and Your Content

• Our content. The Service and its content, including rankings, ratings, projections, articles, data compilations, software, and branding, are owned by FanRanked or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial fantasy purposes. You may not scrape, harvest, bulk-download, resell, republish, or use the Service or its data to build or train a competing product without our written permission.
• Your content. You keep ownership of what you submit (votes, personal rankings, and similar contributions), and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve the Service, including in aggregated forms such as community rankings that do not identify you.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Access the Service with bots, scrapers, or other automated means, or probe or circumvent access controls, rate limits, or paywalled features;
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours;
• Reverse engineer or copy non-public parts of the Service;
• Manipulate community voting or ratings, including with multiple accounts;
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.

9. Third-Party Services and Advertising

The Service integrates third-party services (including Google sign-in, Stripe payments, league platforms, and analytics) and displays third-party advertising. Those services have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for third-party content, products, or sites linked from the Service.

10. Changes to the Service

The Service evolves constantly. We may add, change, or remove features (including features included in Pro) at any time. We will not materially reduce the core value of a paid plan mid-term without notice. We may also suspend the Service for maintenance or events outside our control.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, and 15) survive.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA (INCLUDING RANKINGS, PROJECTIONS, AND LEAGUE DATA) WILL BE ACCURATE OR CURRENT.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FANRANKED WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM FANTASY LEAGUE OUTCOMES, CONTESTS, OR WAGERS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE AND (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

• Talk to us first. Before filing a claim, email us at the address below with a description of the dispute. Most issues get resolved within 30 days, and both sides agree to try in good faith before formal proceedings.
• Binding arbitration. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court.
• Class action waiver. Disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. Neither party may participate in a class, consolidated, or representative action against the other.
• Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating that you opt out of arbitration.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where arbitration does not apply, courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where the change meaningfully affects paid subscribers we will provide additional notice. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
