JD, : River Quick is one of my favorite pitching prospects in the minor leagues. He doesn't have a ton of notoriety so he is probably available in most dynasty leagues right now. Ross Jensen from Prospects Live is the high man on him, ranking at 64 in his most recent top 100 prospect list and it's easy to see why. At 6'6" and 255 lbs, he's exactly the frame you would want from a front line starter. He's racked up nearly 14 K/9 across three levels this year (51 1/3 innings across 15 starts) with a FB that touches 99. The craziest part to me is that he gets those K's as a sinker baller, which tells me that it's not your traditional ground ball mid-rotation profile and instead can become a legitimate ace if the K's hold. His profile is not without risk: he walks a ton of guys still (5.26 BB/9 this year), and has not completed more than four innings in a start in the minor leagues. It's possible the stuff progresses as they start to stretch him out and that K-rate goes from a juicy 14 per 9 to a more reasonable 8-9. But in terms of pure upside there are very few pitchers in the minors with his ceiling and these are they type of guys\ you are looking for in these type of prospect lists. Quick is a huge buy for me.
