ESPN's strength is that it asks nothing of you. Five minutes to set up, sensible defaults, a solid app, and the biggest audience in sports. For a first-year work league or a family league, that is exactly right.
ESPN's weakness is everything past the defaults. There are no minor-league slots, no rookie draft, no contracts or cap, no slow drafts, no three-team trades, no way to trade picks beyond the next draft, thin commissioner tools, and settings that lock once the draft is done. Serious leagues leave.
Our gaps against ESPN are the same as against Yahoo: the store app and the pool of public leagues.
