A Bat Score of ~50 is a league-average hitter-day. 90+ is tier S, 72+ tier A, 58+ tier B, and 45+ tier C. Below that you're better off waiting for a different matchup. Because the score is opportunity-aware, a bench bat can't sneak into the top tiers on rates alone.
