Dynasty: too close to call. The FanRanked staff dynasty board has them nearly level, Guerrero #33 and Griffin #35, but the expert consensus has Griffin ahead (#17 to #38). The community rates them even, FRV 79.5 and 78.8.
JD on Konnor Griffin (Jul 10, 2026): It's a shame it seems like this finger injury is going to hamper any ability for Konnor Griffin to really put together a statement in the second half and dispel the narrative that he floundered in his first taste of big league action. He's been by no means awful but stealing twenty bases is not the same value driver that it used to be and doesn't point to the underlying skill set being incredibly valuable in the long. Everything from his underlying metrics to his surface stats points to a player who is fast but kind of swings a wet noodle. I don't expect him to fit this profile forever but he definitely did not impress in his first taste of big league action and I'm worried that's going to hamper him going into next year. On the other hand there's a certain Angels player whose last name may or may not be fish-related who had a very similar debut that caused people to lose some faith in him, and look how he turned out. And I'm not talking about Tim Salmon.
JD on Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Jun 10, 2026): This is the first player where I really had to think hard about what his value was going forward. On one hand you have a guy who is still hitting the ball pretty hard, granted not as hard as he used to but with a sub-optimal launch angle, resulting in no real power to speak of. On the other hand we've seen him do this before and come out of the launch angle woes to be incredibly productive. You know you're going to get a great average and you know that you can rely on him to continue hitting the ball incredibly hard. He is not a top 5 dynasty asset like he was 2-4 years ago, but I think he is safely a top 25 asset and will be for multiple years to come.
