JD on Andy Pages (Oct 20, 2026): I stumbled into Andy Pages as a throw-in in one of my dynasty leagues last year and I've always been a pessimist when it comes to his value. I know all leagues are different, but I couldn't get anyone to be interested in Pages after his hot start this year. Now that he has a full year in the books, I feel like it's hard to deny that he is clearly an upper-echelon dynasty asset going forward. Everything about his underlying profile is average to above average, he doesn't strike out a ton yet still makes a lot of good-quality contact, and he's in a top-tier lineup where he will get tons of runs and RBIs for the foreseeable future. He had an outside chance of hitting 30 home runs and stealing 15 bags if he didn't break his hand at the end of the season, and you pair that with a .274 batting average and you have a 5 category contributor entering the prime of his career in 2027. As of writing his consensus ranking is 54, but I feel like you'll be hard-pressed to find anyone ranking him lower than 50th overall once updated dynasty rankings come out for 2027.
JD on Konnor Griffin (Oct 20, 2026): Based on this ranking, I will never own Konnor Griffin in any dynasty leagues for the foreseeable future, and I think I am okay with that. Based on what I have seen, I think we should rank him like he is a premier prospect a la Jesus Made or Leo DeVries, rather than a high-end prospect who has already debuted and had success at the major league level, a la Kevin McGonigle. The average exit velocity is probably the most concerning piece for me, although a better September (88.8 mph) really gave me hope that he was just getting his feet under him before his injury (rather than actually being a sub-87 mph EV player). For reference some other players in the 87 mph EV range for 2026 are Xavier Edwards, David Hamilton, and Jackson Holliday (ouch), Jake Cronenworth and Ozzie Albies. I bring this up not to try to pile on too hard on Konnor Griffin, but more so that he is far from the sure thing that people are treating him as. I really would like to see more production at the big league level before I really move him up my rankings. At the end of the day, if I was ranking him as a prospect, he would still be the number one overall prospect on this list. I think that is more than fair for the type of performance he has put up so far.
