JD on Shea Langeliers (Nov 5, 2026): I think people may be forgetting that Shea Langeliers has been one of the most dangerous hitters in the league over the last two seasons. Despite relatively pedestrian statistics entering his 2025 season, he has really taking another step forward by taking full advantage of Sutter Park and absolutely crushing lefties. Here is his 2026 grid: and his 2025 grid: Maybe he is just a function of the Sutter Park lift, but he should enjoy a 2207 with a lot of tailwinds that will make it hard to finish outside of the top 3 catchers if he health permits. I'm hoping the A's get him off his feet as much as possible in 2027 and DH him, although that may be tough with Brent Rooker coming back and slotted in as the regular DH. All told, I would expect him to be close to the top catcher options in 2027 and 2028, and a potential transition after that where he still retains catcher eligibility but doesn't take as much of a beating behind the dish and still retains the value he brings with the pad.
