JD on Miguel Vargas (Jun 4, 2026): I am incredibly impressed by what Vargas has been able to do this year. He is swimming in a sea of red on his savant page and seems to be picking up steam as the season goes on. AND THIS IS ALL WITH A BABIP OF .236! I know his batted ball profile means his BABIP should probably be on the lower end but .236 still streams like there is some bad batted ball luck that should mean revert this year. He is by no means a perfect player and definitely has his warts, but this is a former top prospect who the Dodgers were very high on that has found regular playing time and is now thriving and still only 26. One of my biggest buys right now.
