JD on Ketel Marte (Aug 25, 2026): I'm not gonna pretend to have any idea what's going on with Ketel Marte right now but clearly something is not right with him mentally. You see this happening occasionally with guys and I can't think of a time where the resolution of it was positive and an aberration looking back (except maybe CJ Abrams and his casino visit at the end of last season). I was admittedly probably too high on Ketel as it was as he's about to be 33 years old, but he's hitting just as well as ever and has great peripheral metrics. I'm not worried that he will continue to produce if he decides he wants to rejoin the team, I'm more worried that this is not a short-term issue for him and his team. I'm moving him down the rankings to hedge his behavior, and I wouldn't be looking to buy low on him until you have more clarity on his situation.
