JD on Jesus Made (Oct 20, 2026): WE DID IT! We made it to the first prospect on this dynasty list. I know a lot of you guys scrolled past 26 through 38 to figure out when the first prospect would hit, so congrats to everyone who made it this far. Now let's get serious about what Made actually will turn into as a big leaguer. I have a tool that comps prospects to players of similar skill sets and stat lines at similar points in their career and here are Made's closest comps after his 2026 season. Excluding Franco, you effectively have a 5 out of 9 hit rate of becoming a star at the big league level, which is about as good as you are going to get from a prospect IMO. As a physically mature 19-year old prospect with loud batted ball data and the ideal fantasy profile, he has earned himself the #1 prospect in baseball title. He is an incredible blend of a high-ceiling (although not the highest in the minors I would argue) and the highest floor that should make you comfortable taking him as the first prospect in any dynasty draft. The quickest path to the big leagues for Made would be to sign a long term deal in the offseason and give the Brewers no reason to continue to hold him down. I don't think Made is as far along developmentally though, as someone like Chourio was when he signed a long-term deal, so I don't know if it's in either party's best interest to be in the big leagues next year. But the numbers that could get thrown around to lock Made down would be insane. Look at Cooper Pratt, he got an 8-year, $50 million deal without stepping foot in the big leagues. Heck, even Luis Lara got a 7 year, $31mm deal and he barely registered on the hype meter for prospects. I think Chourio's 8 year / $82M contract is a pretty good comp, but that was signed three years ago at this point, which makes me think Made could push for $100M BEFORE STEPPING FOOT ABOVE AA.

JD on Pete Alonso (Oct 20, 2026): Old, steady, reliable Pete probably has a good 3 or 4 years left in him of elite fantasy production. Right-handed bat-first first 1B with his "build" typically don't age gracefully, but his all-around stellar performance this year makes me think there's more in the tank than I would have thought at the beginning of 2026. Alonso edges out other bat-first mashers like Schwarber and Judge for me because he's got a couple of years of youth on his side. Just don't run too fast to pick him up in dynasty drafts this offseason or you might end up looking like this:
