JD on Logan Henderson (Sep 17, 2026): I recently took a really hard look at what Logan Henderson had to offer, and was surprised to see that I have been sleeping on him way too hard. I don't want to be dramatic here but the comp I have for Henderson is....Greg Maddux (I can hear your eyes rolling through the screen, but hear me out). Henderson is relatively undersized at 6'0" (5'11" without shoes) and features an average fastball velocity of 93 mph (28th percentile) with an average spin rate. Nothing about his profile screams 30% K rate, and if you watched him in the bullpen you would think he was a Quad-A swingman. Instead, Henderson is rocking a 30% K-rate, 1.5 BB/9, and a microscopic 0.78 WHIP across 93 1/3 innings this year and has some of the loudest peripherals of any starter in baseball. He gets a ton of armside run on both his fastball and changeup and hasn't needed much of a third pitch yet, mixing a cutter in only 16% of the time and a sweeper 3% of the time, so the fact that he has perform this well on the back of a FB/CH dominated mix is a strong sign that there is room for him to grow. Henderson also has the type of profile that I love to bet on in dynasty leagues. Since he doesn't rely on a triple digit fastball or a sharp breaking ball, my eye test tells me he will be one of the most durable, reliable top tier starters for the next several years. He is a major buy in all formats for me but especially if your league structure rewards accumulating pitching stats or innings, Henderson should be one of your top targets.
