JD on Grady Emerson (Aug 25, 2026): I've seen a lot of people rank Grady as the number one prospect coming out of this draft and I think it's a relatively fair take, especially given the Rays track record. He still hasn't gotten his first hit yet, going 0-10 with 4 walks in 14 plate appearances, but that's largely meaningless with such a tiny sample size. I'm not willing to pay the price of him being the most valuable first-year player coming out of the 2026 draft, but he still looks like a top 5 guy in this class for the time being.
JD on Juneiker Caceres (Jul 14, 2026): Drop everything you're doing and go pick up Juneiker before you read the rest of this blurb. Got him? Ok great, I think I just found you one of the best risk-reward prospects in all of baseball right now. He's not currently on the MLB Pipeline Top 100, which I find so hard to believe because he has put up an incredible season in A ball at 18 years old. He is currently slashing .320/.418/.538 within WRC+ of 153. AT 18 YEARS OLD. He's still a high variance prospect and he's definitely going to take his lumps over the next couple of years as he develops but he's already got great bat speed and fantastic bat to ball skills.
