JD on Fernando Tatis Jr. (May 27, 2026): What do you do with Fernando Tatis? I honestly think at this point he's trying not to hit home runs to prove a point but the only point he's proving to me is that he really needed performance-enhancing drugs to be a productive big leaguer (only partially kidding). His batted ball profile doesn't scream to me "problematic" outside of his launch angle. I'm willing to bet that his stats bounce back and he still gets to 10 to 15 home runs. However, someone who hits .270 with 10 to 15 home runs and 40 stolen bases is not a top 25 player and may not be a top 50 player at this point. If I own shares of Tatis, I am selling at the first sign of a power surge when it appears that he has righted the ship because I think his value will continue to fall.
