JD on Eric Hartman (Jun 29, 2026): It is so frustrating that Yahoo doesn’t have Hartman in their player pool yet, it’s ridiculous that Yahoo doesn’t have any rhyme or reason to the players in their system besides “vibes”. Hartman is a 20th round pick in 2024 that wasn’t on anyone’s radar until this year, where he has exploded for 19 HRs in just over 300 PA. I will be watching closely to see if this type of production persist as he climbs above High A. I’m a buyer here.
JD on Roch Cholowsky (Aug 25, 2026): Roch has stumbled over himself in his first taste of professional baseball, slashing .167/.326/.333, 46 plate appearances in high A. The aggressive assignment isn't helping the optics either, as he was touted as a very advanced bat who should have no problem in the lower levels of the minor leagues. Largely I'm holding firm on him although I am hedging his ranking a little bit because there are just prospects who are more exciting to me that I'd probably rather pick in a first-year player draft right now (Burress).
