JD on Eric Hartman (Jun 29, 2026): It is so frustrating that Yahoo doesn’t have Hartman in their player pool yet, it’s ridiculous that Yahoo doesn’t have any rhyme or reason to the players in their system besides “vibes”. Hartman is a 20th round pick in 2024 that wasn’t on anyone’s radar until this year, where he has exploded for 19 HRs in just over 300 PA. I will be watching closely to see if this type of production persist as he climbs above High A. I’m a buyer here.
JD on Josuar Gonzalez (Jul 3, 2026): Josuar is getting a lot of recognition right now in the industry, but for me it just comes down to proximity to the major leagues. No doubt that he's tearing it up but he's still only at the complex level. He will definitely move up my rankings considerably as he continues to produce at higher levels but for me I'm comfortable having him in the mid 30s while there's still so many unknowns. It might mean my conservativism will cause me to miss out, but I still have him at #207 overall so I don't think I'm too low on him relative to the market.
