JD on Drew Burress (Aug 25, 2026): Drew Burress has really caught my eye and has exploded onto the scene since signing for $7.5mm. He's got very loud tools (5 HR / 4 SB in 77 AB) and exceptional plate discipline (19.5% BB rate) in A ball leading to a 159 wRC+. Of course the same caveats as usual, where it's a small sample size and it's at a very low level of the minors, but these tools look fantastic and seeing them in Sutter Park would be very exciting. He's a big mover for me up my prospect rankings based on this initial performance.
