JD on Spencer Jones (Jun 5, 2026): Well that was a disaster of a debut. I'm probably higher on Spencer Jones than most because of the 80-grade power but it's hard to deny that he got exposed to the big league level in his first go-around. Let's look at the positives: 97 mph EV on balls in play That's about all I have in terms of reasons to be excited about him right now, but he has such a high ceiling I think he warrants this ranking. I am hopeful that he finds some regular playing time at some point and is able to get into a groove and that strikeout rate comes down to a manageable level but he has a high risk of becoming the next Joey Gallo (during his bad years).
