Dynasty: too close to call. Redraft: Bryan Woo. The FanRanked staff dynasty board has them nearly level, Woo #65 and Brown #66, and the expert consensus agrees (#37 and #50). The community rates them even, FRV 72.9 and 72.7. For 2026 redraft, the consensus has Woo ahead, #84 to #204, and the rest-of-season engine agrees ($13 and $7).
JD on Bryan Woo (May 27, 2026): I'm a sucker for guys with excellent command (part of the reason why I like Cristopher Sanchez so much) and Woo feels like a guy who could be the number one overall pitcher if his K-rate was just a little stronger. I think you can bank on Wu to be an elite top fifteen arm for the next four or five years and he has modest injury concerns but I don't think they are as significant as some of the others on the list.
JD on Hunter Brown (Jun 3, 2026): What is scarier, shoulder injuries or elbow injuries? When I was growing up I was always told that elbow injuries are always more dangerous and shoulder injuries usually resulted from throwing the ball correctly but just being overworked (just some of the bs that floated around baseball until the data driven paradigm we are in now). I would say that a shoulder injury is the most scary because there are so many moving pieces whereas an elbow is a pretty straightforward injury to repair (most of the time). I'm willing to make an exception with Brown though because he's looked so good in rehab and was so dominant in two starts this season. If he comes back healthy, he'll be a top ten starter for me. Just have to put the injury tag on him for the time being.
