JD on Gage Wood (Jul 14, 2026): I was really excited to see Gage Woods start the Futures game this year and boy he did not disappoint. Ignoring any sort of stat line, his stuff really jumped off the page for me. With nearly a 13 K/9 across 2 levels in 2026, I think he's got this stuff to compete at the big league level already. I would just like to see him start to get some extended looks out of the rotation so we can see if the stuff holds up outside of short bursts. (Only 55 innings across 16 starts this year). He's definitely one of my favorite pitching prospects in the minors right now.
