JD on Andy Pages (May 27, 2026): I've wanted to hate this breakout but I think I'm fully bought into pages being an elite outfielder at this point. He is in the best possible situation for counting stats and he's got a very good batted ball profile that I think will continue to play well. Usually I try to separate out the player from the team when doing these evaluations but given that Pages is on the best team in baseball and should be for multiple years due to his pre-arb status, you can bank on him being in a fantastic situation for years to come and that in itself is incredibly valuable.
JD on Kyle Tucker (Aug 11, 2026): Kyle Tucker is about to be on the wrong side of 30, and nothing about his profile screams to me that he's been getting unlucky in any way. He also kind of seems unmotivated but he's always had that demeanor about him. He strikes me as a guy who could just get his money and start to phone it in rather than really be motivated to live up to his contract. I think if you're a dynasty owner I'd be looking to sell him to someone who thinks that they're going to be able to reap the benefits of a slow start to his Dodgers tenure. I'm not a believer and I don't think a prolonged hot spell is coming any time soon.
