JD on Jake McCarthy (Aug 10, 2026): Jake McCarthy is one of the most flawed but valuable players in fantasy baseball right now. If you have him on your team, you are amazed by the performance he has put together this year and if you don't you have been waiting for the other shoe to drop for two months now. He feels like a league winner this year. What does that mean for his dynasty value? Well we all know the Coors Effect is having maximum effect here for McCarthy, but it doesn't make him inherently unvaluable. We also know how Nolan Jones and Brenton Doyle's value has evaporated. If I have McCarthy, I'm riding him to a championship this year and then looking to move him for anything in the offseason. But enjoy the ride while it lasts!
